The Drawing Guild is a collaborative community of artists and professionals dedicated to promoting, developing and celebrating the art of drawing.

The Guild brings together artists working in dry and related drawing media, including pastel, coloured pencil, graphite, charcoal, oil pastel and ink, with the aim of raising awareness, appreciation and standards of drawing as a recognised and versatile fine-art medium.

The Guild seeks to:

• Promote excellence, creativity and innovation in the art of drawing, encouraging artists to develop their skills and explore new approaches within their chosen medium.
• Build a vibrant and supportive artistic community that provides opportunities for networking, collaboration, knowledge-sharing and mentorship.
• Create opportunities for artistic development through workshops, training, demonstrations, exhibitions, competitions, talks and other events.
• Promote and showcase the work of drawing artists, providing platforms through which members can gain exposure and connect with fellow artists, collectors, galleries and the wider public.
• Encourage greater recognition and appreciation of drawing and its diverse mediums within the broader South African art community.
